The depiction of the painting is also lifelike. Xu Beihong (July 19, 1895 – September 26, 1953), originally named Xu Shoukang, was a Han Chinese from Qiting Town, Yixing, Jiangsu Province. He was a modern Chinese painter, art educator, and a member of the Jingxing Society. He taught at the Department of Art at National Central University, the School of Art at Beiping University, and the Beiping Art College. He also co founded the Sino Italian Cultural Association with Li Linxi and others. His main painting works include "Five Hundred Scholars in Tianheng", "Jiufanggao", "Spring Rain on the Li River", "The Statue of Tagore", "Running Horse", and so on.

In September, he was appointed as the dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts; In September 1953, he was appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Second National Congress of Literary and Artistic Workers. On September 26, he passed away in Beijing at the age of 58. His works have also attracted the attention of collectors.
